Who are the Conroe Rangerettes?

Welcome to the Conroe Rangerettes Web site.  The Conroe Rangerettes is an awesome experience for any girl that dreams of dancing before an audience.  It is composed of 55 girls from 4th-6th grade that attend all the area school districts.  The Rangerettes were founded by a local resident in 1976.  The team is sponsored by the Conroe YMCA and proudly performs on Saturday mornings during half time of YMCA football games.  The Rangerettes display their team talent all across the county during the year by performing at high school football games, junior high football games, high school basketball games, Christmas & Rodeo parades, Conroe High School Golden Girls Spring Show, elementary school events, Catfish Festival, and many more events.

If your daughter envisions the drill team experience during her junior high and high school years, then the Rangerettes is the preparation for her future challenge.  There is no dance experience necessary to be on the team.  The girls will enjoy learning the dances from one of the best directors in Conroe, Mrs. Judy Hufstetler.

The session begins with a swim party for the girls and our Mothers Meeting for the moms.  This is a terrific way for the girls to make new friends and the Moms to get a chance to find out the details of the season.  Other activities include: line camp from Aug. 3rd to Aug.7 and the annual Father & Daughter carwash fundraiser September 12th.

This  will be our third year to perform in our new uniforms which will cost $100 due by June 1st, 2009, to new members.  (There will be an opportunity to purchase used uniforms, as well.)  Our membership is limited to 60 girls, so it is very important that you return the completed registration form with the registration fee of $100 by June 1st.  If space remains after that time, your daughter will still be eligible to join after June 1st with a registration fee of $125.  You will receive a welcome packet of information once your registration is received.

This will be our third season to offer a Junior Rangerettes program for young girls in 1st-3rd grade.  Junior Rangerettes will not perform at any games this year.  They will participate in all parties, parades, and will be able to sit in the stands with the Rangerettes at the Saturday football games.  Junior Rangerettes will also present the spirit stick each week to the Rangerettes! The fee for Junior Rangerettes is $25.00 and they will receive a t-shirt. This is a great opportunity for Rangerette little sisters.
